We felt so lucky that we had Robyn as our daughter's first violin teacher. My daughter started taking violin lessons with Robyn when she was 3.5-years old. Robyn's experience in teaching younger kids, patience, and discipline made my daughter enthusiastic and helped her to progress and develop the required skills very quickly. She always had a plan for each lesson, and tasks for the kids and their parents for the rest of the week. We were always looking forward for the group lessons, which were well-managed and full of energy for the students. I'm so glad to have found Robyn! As an adult learner, I wasn't sure I'd be able to progress on violin or if I'd just be wasting time and money. Robyn makes it fun to learn and takes her time to ensure that you aren't picking up any bad habits. After each lesson, she assigns "homework", different techniques and skills to work on until your next lesson. These homework assignments have helped SO much. She is very patient and doesn't rush through the lesson books...she makes sure everything is looking and sounding right before moving to a new piece. I would recommend Robyn to anyone interested in violin or to parents who want their children to start learning. She's amazing!
